Workshop Overview
"From Wounds to Wholeness" equips clinicians to view trauma through a psychodynamic and attachment-informed lens—moving beyond symptom management toward integration and healing. Participants will explore how early relational patterns, defenses, and the therapeutic relationship influence pacing, safety, and sustainable change.

Dr. Hanna Cespedes, Ph.D., M.S., LPC, ACS, NCC
CEO, Pacifica Counseling & Psychiatry
Dr. Cespedes is a licensed professional counselor, clinical supervisor, and assistant professor. Her work integrates psychodynamic and attachment-informed care with practical, trauma-responsive skills. She leads a multisite practice serving Georgia and Minnesota and trains graduate clinicians in ethical, relational, and theory-based practice.
She has published research on complex trauma, attachment theory in clinical practice with severe mental illness, and holistic integration of psychodynamic theory in trauma work. Her current clinical and research interests include:

Despite advancements in understanding the genetic and biological underpinnings of Severe Mental Illness (SMI), a significant gap remains in applying strength-based, relational models within the counseling profession. This webinar bridges that gap by presenting an integrative approach rooted in attachment and resilience theory, aimed at empowering individuals living with SMI.
Participants will explore qualitative findings from lived client experiences and learn to integrate this approach into their own clinical practice, supervision, and counselor education settings.
