Our Story

Pacifica Counseling & Psychiatry was officially founded in 2023, but it was dreamt of many years before. What began as late-night conversations and sketches at the kitchen table between Drs. Hanna and Carlos Cespedes grew into a vision: to create a place where peace could be cultivated in the midst of life’s storms.

The name Pacifica, from its Latin roots meaning “a place and person of peace”, captures this mission. Even when life feels overwhelming and uncertain, we believe one thing always remains within our control: the intentional pursuit of peace and purpose. From the beginning, our goal has been to combine evidence-based counseling with the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, ensuring every client feels seen, supported, and safe.

Starting with a single office in Macon, Georgia, Pacifica has grown into a multi-state practice serving clients across Atlanta, Middle Georgia, and Rochester, Minnesota. We provide care for individuals, couples, families, and children, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and life transitions. In addition to this, Pacifica has expanded into psychiatric and coaching services to better been the unique needs of our communities.
