Why Medication?
Everyone's mental health, much like physical health, is diverse and requires a unique approach. Research consistently shows that the combination of proper medication and psychotherapy assists greatly in giving clients the most effective outcome, particularly if they are experiencing challenging emotions and managing distressing thoughts. Psychiatric medication can be one of many tools in your tool box to help increase your quality of life and manage challenging symptoms.
Our approach to medication management:
What to expect:
Your first appointment with our psychiatrist will last about an hour long. That can be a time you share more about your symptoms and mental health history, ways you have been coping, and your desired goals surrounding medication. You can expect your psychiatrist to actively listen to you, ask poignant questions, and assist you in creating a unique and tailored plan to help reach your specific goals.

Follow ups:
Follow up appointments with your psychiatrist will last about 30 - 45 minutes. During this time your psychiatrist will check in on medication adherence, improvements in symptoms, and explore any side effects that may be going on. This can also be a valuable time for you to bring in important questions or concerns you may have had between starting your medication and now.
