Dr. Hanna Cespedes works with individuals who often appear capable, driven, and composed on the outside, while internally carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, relationship pain, or unresolved wounds from earlier life experiences. Many of her clients are people who learned to be strong, responsible, or high-achieving because they had to be, but now find themselves longing for deeper peace, healthier relationships, and a clearer sense of who they are.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, raised in the South, and shaped by much of her life in Georgia, Dr. Cespedes brings a deep appreciation for family, community, belonging, and the stories that shape who we become. Her personal background, education, and clinical training have all informed her passion for helping clients understand how early relationships, painful family dynamics, and attachment wounds can continue to influence present-day emotions, identity, relationships, and patterns of coping.

Much of Dr. Cespedes’ clinical work is rooted in an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens. She especially enjoys working with trauma survivors, parents and mothers experiencing emotional exhaustion, high-achieving professionals navigating identity and purpose, and men who may feel pressure to keep moving forward without space to be fully seen. Her work often supports clients who are beginning to recognize how the roles they learned growing up may no longer fit the life, relationships, or peace they are hoping to build now.

Dr. Cespedes is the practice owner, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Licensed Professional Counselor at Pacifica Counseling & Psychiatry. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology and her doctoral degree in Counseling, with hospital-based and university-affiliated clinical training experience in Atlanta. Her clinical specialties include attachment-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and integrative trauma-informed care. Her approach is relational, depth-oriented, and individualized, with an emphasis on emotional safety, insight, and sustainable change.

Dr. Cespedes provides therapy both in person and via telehealth. She offers in-person sessions at the Rochester, Minnesota office and virtual services across all Georgia locations, including Peachtree Corners and Macon.
